Is GPT getting downgraded for free users or just gemini getting better?

Here's something that might surprise you — many users are feeling that GPT’s free version is getting worse, while alternatives like Gemini are stepping up. According to /u/Agile_Rain4486 on Reddit, they’ve been using GPT to study complex topics but keep hitting a wall. No matter how they prompt it, GPT always spits out answers in basic points — hardly the deep dives they’re after. Now, here's where it gets interesting — Gemini, even with occasional misunderstandings, actually provides more detailed and well-explained responses. And get this — people are frustrated with GPT’s growing limits, long wait times, and the overall experience now feels so sluggish that they’re considering ditching it altogether for Gemini. As /u/Agile_Rain4486 notes, the free tier’s restrictions are really starting to impact usability. So what does this actually mean? It’s a sign that AI tools are evolving fast, and if you’re looking for depth and speed, you might want to keep an eye on other options.

So I was using LLM for studying advance language/framework/design topics. Whenever I have some question I would try on GPT but it will always give me answer in points no matter what prompt I try or create a separate workbook with new memory.

It will always give me answer in small basic points. I wanted to learn topics in depth but it just refuses to give me better indepth answer just everything in basic points.

Gemini sometimes is not able to understand context but the answer quality is just amazing and everything is in just depth, it uses points also but they are much better explained than GPT.

Also the free version limit is just getting frustrating now in GPT and extremely long wait time for images, it has gotten so bad that I never though I would completely uninstall GPT and prefer gemini over it.
